As a Parent, What do I do?
If you suspect child abuse, contact the Florida Abuse Hotline
at 1-800-96-ABUSE. The Florida Department of Children and
Families and local law enforcement will investigate your concerns

Seek professional mental health services through your
insurance carrier or local community resources
listed on the this website.

Talk to your child! Let him or her know that it is OK
to talk to you about this. Spend time with your child.
Carefully monitor your child's activities to set
limits as needed for their safety and the safety of others.

NEVER LEAVE YOUR CHILD ALONE WITH ANOTHER CHILD WHO YOU SUSPECT OF BEING SEXUALLY INAPPROPRIATE OR AGGRESSIVE

If you have a concern about your child's behavior,
please call the SAIN Family Coordinator, Libby Maginness at
(813) 250-6675
or by email at
lmaggine@health.usf.edu

They can assist you with finding a treatment provider
to help assess the situation, developing a safety plan, door alarms (if needed), and answering questions.
