The FJC Training Academy offers extensive domestic violence training to the community, partner agencies, faith-based agencies, FJC staff, volunteers, and chaplains.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

The Spring has provided sanctuary and services to more than 50,000 abused adults and their children in Hillsborough County. One of the largest programs in the nation, The Spring is the largest of Florida's 42 certified domestic violence shelters and the first in the United States to have an accredited school on site for resident children. The Spring has provided leadership in both legal and legislative initiatives that provide protections for victims, and prepared law enforcement and the judiciary with statutes to arrest and prosecute abusers. The Spring is Hillsborough County’s only certified domestic violence prevention and emergency shelter agency. Half of our operating budget comes from private sources including: individuals, corporations, and foundations.  The Spring has several employment opportunities available:

Northside Mental Health Center’s Specialized Treatment Services Program has a Master’s Level Therapist position open. This is a bilingual position (Spanish & English speaking) that provides services to children ages 4-12 with major psychiatric diagnoses as well as to children 4-17 with histories of sexual/physical abuse or sexual behavior problems. The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay Inc., located in Tampa, Florida, U.S.A., is a private nonprofit organization that provides services for the local region. Crisis Center services and programs include crisis and suicide intervention and community resource information & referral, daily reassurance phone calls to the homebound elderly or disabled, short term economic assistance with case management, protective travel assistance, medical and/or mental health patient transportation, sexual abuse counseling for children and adults, forensic medical exams for sexual assault survivors, continuing education events, and volunteer opportunities.

We are seeking a Trauma Services Therapist III – Part Time (19 hours per week: Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday) for our APPLE Trauma Response Center. The Trauma Services Therapist III is responsible for providing therapy for children, juvenile sexual offenders, juvenile and adult rape victims, and adult incest survivors, and their families, individual, in group sessions, and/or family sessions.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
● Masters degree and two years of experience in counseling or related field
● Licensed by the State of Florida
