Clinical Supervision
Our practice offers clinical
supervision to practitioners working toward professional licensure
and growth in their field of practice in the healing arts. Our
licensed clinicians are committed to providing supervision that
meets the NASW Code of Ethics and Florida State guidelines, through
the Department of Health.
We can
provide clinical supervision weekly or bi-weekly based on the needs
of your individual licensing standards. Group Supervision is
available upon request. We would provide a letter confirming that
supervision will be provided to you for the State Licensing Office
with all credentials upon request. Terms and fees will be agreed
upon prior to initial supervision.
We would
request the following by each supervisee:
- Provide copies: resume,
Professional Liability Insurance,
Proof of Registered Intern status, if applicable.
- Provide a minimum of two
professional/work references.
- Proof of completed
practice hours monthly.
- Meet weekly or bi weekly
for one hour.
- Practice Code of Ethics
at all times for profession including HIPAA guidelines, and will
contact the clinical supervisor to address ethical dilemmas in
field clinical practice.
Qualified
Supervisors:
Larry
Cooper, LCSW (SW-4933), MSW Degree from USF School of Social
Work (1993). Mr. Cooper has provided clinical supervision to BSW and
MSW interns from the School of Social Work since 1997. He has worked
with the Title IV-E students, has been a guest lecturer and adjunct
professor at USF School of Social Work. He has supervised numerous
students throughout his career at APPLE services, Shriner’s Hospital
for Children, and The Children’s Home, Inc. He has presented
nationally on his work with Kinship Care families and has advocated
for families in Tallahassee and Washington DC. to enhance services
and awareness of the needs of relative caregivers.
This
year, Mr. Cooper was awarded the 2012 MSW Field Instructor of the
Year by the USF School of Social Work. He is committed to offering
great learning opportunities for interns to focus on both micro and
macro practice.

William "Chip" Royall, LCSW (SW-5156), MSW Degree from USF
School of School Work (1995). Mr. Royall has provided clinical
supervision for MSW interns and other masters level interns from USF
and other accredited universities since 1998. He has over a decade
of experience of supervising graduate students at a local trauma
recovery treatment center. He has assisted interns in developing
individual, family and group treatment skills. He has presented at
local, statewide and national conferences regarding his work with
managing and treating youth with sexual behavior problems and with
preventing child sexual abuse. Mr. Royall has also served two terms
on the Board of Florida ATSA and assisted with developing and
promoting the definition for "Qualified Practitioner" for both the
490 and 491 Boards in Florida.
